Who Uses GMRS Radios? We are seeing them become increasingly popular with travelers, hunters, and those with a safety mindset. GMRS radios are not to be used by organizations as each user is required to have a license.
Is there a penalty for using a GMRS radio without a license? The FCC says so and the GMRS enthusiasts in your area will call you out for interferring with their licensed conversations. There are plenty of other radios which don't utilize GRMS. Leave these alone if you're not going to follow the rules.
Why don't you sell some of the import radios I see elsewhere? We're radio snobs and we support the US based manufacturers who support us.
Why don't you provide programming support? Great question. Most GMRS radios come with a prebuilt table of frequencies. Commerical & Professional Tier radios can be programmed to work on GMRS. We'll program the prebuilt table in before shipping. Advanced programming can take hours. We don't have hours to spend so we don't offer the support. Nothing personal. There are great resources online about how to program advanced features into a radio.
