Motorola SLR5700 50 Watt Digital Repeater

The Motorola SLR5700 is a 50 Watt Digital Repeater offered in UHF or VHF.  Repeaters are one component of a system designed to increase the range of two way radios by amplifying the signal to boost the transmit power of your two way radios.  In addition to purchasing a repeater you'll also need an antenna system which includes up to two antennas and an optional duplexer.  Please note, an FCC license is required to use a Repeater legally.  Twowayradiocenter.com will assist with FCC licensing and selecting an antenna system for your Motorola SLR5700 repeater.

What kind of range can I expect when adding a Motorola SLR5700 Repeater?  Range is a variable dependent on antenna placement and topography.  The higher you place your antenna, the better the range you'll get.  We also recommend placing the antenna as close to the center point of your property as possible.  You'll see up to 100% better range because radios are communicating to the center point, not from far end to far end of your property.  

Will my existing radios work with the -Motorola SLR5700 Repeater?  No.  All radios will have to be programmed to match the frequencies programmed into the Motorola SLR5700.  An exception would be if you're replacing an older repeater.
