We Educate .... You Decide if Digital Two Way Radios are Right for Your Business!
Is there a compelling reason to pick one type of digital two way radio over another? Do you have existing two way radios? If the answer is yes, then you should select a TDMA or an FDMA product. If you don't use two way radios and your business is in a complex under 500,000 square feet, you should strongly consider Motorola's DLR or DTR products. They work great and require no FCC license. If you're already using walkie talkies, Kenwood and Motorola both make excellent products.Â
Why don't TDMA and FDMA products work together? Motorola and Kenwood use different technologies to convert audio into digital and then convert it back to sound. Analog transmissions actually rebroadcast the actual sound where digital converts sound into digits and then converts it back to sound on the other side. That's a simplified explanation but it's accurate. Both Motorola and Kenwood make excellent products. We suggest you pick the one with a rebate or the one you're most comfortable with.Â
